The Climate Fresk is a game designed to help people improve their knowledge of climate change. So far more than 2 million people have been trained. It was designed in France. It involves working in groups, discussing climate change and sorting out cards with climate change information. It is normally charged but this training is free.
The Climate Fresk is a game, which was created by Cédric Ringenbach, a French teacher and engineer, to help increase the understanding of climate change. It is a fun way to learn and also correct climate change misunderstandings. It is based on IPCC science. It involves sorting climate change cards in teams and discussing the issues in groups. There is then an opportunity to reflect on how the climate crisis is affecting people, what is thought about it and what they can be done about it. It is a very rewarding experience. Dr Andrew Lee is Honorary Lecturer at the Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Education at University College London, he will be co-facilitating with Dr David Anderson, former Head of Community Engagement and former Head of Geography at Eton College. Do come, it really is an enjoyable and educative experience. More information can be found about the Climate Fresk here.
The programme is normally charged, but this event will be held free of charge to support the Biosphere Festival.
If you book, please make a commitment to come, as the programme works best with the right number of people. If you want to bring children, please do, but ideally they should be at least ten to contribute effectively.
